Samsung recently launched the Galaxy J8 smartphone in India, which brings an Infinity Display, and dual-rear cameras to the Galaxy J-series.
While other manufacturers have been offering these features on their mid-range smartphones for quite some time now, Samsung is late to join the party. But does it have enough to outshine the competition? We compared the Galaxy J8 with Redmi Note 5 Pro, Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Moto G6 based on their price in India, specifications and features. Here’s how they fare.

The Galaxy J8 is priced at Rs 18,990 and it can be purchased online from Samsung Mall or Amazon India.

Customers buying using ICICI Bank credit and debit card, or from Paytm Mall can avail Rs 2,000 cashback, which will bring down the effective price to Rs 16,990. What’s more, on buying the smartphone before July 31, customers can also avail one-time screen replacement offer.
The Moto G6 will set you back by Rs 13,999 for 32GB variant and Rs 15,999 for the 64GB variant, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 from Asus is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 32GB variant, whereas the 64GB variant is priced at Rs 12,999. Both smartphones are exclusively available via Flipkart.

Lastly, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is also offered in two variants – 4GB RAM variant for Rs 14,999 and 6GB RAM variant for Rs 16,999. It can be purchased from Flipkart or Mi.com.
