It is very evident that there is a war on-going among leading telecom companies in offering compelling discounts and freebies along with their prepaid, postpaid, and broadband services. 

There are offers, discounts, and freebies announced by every telecom companies on a daily basis.

After offering back to back data plans and data offers, telecom companies have now started offering cashback plans. 

The efforts put by various telecom companies in the form of attractive offers are ultimately the attempts to improve the customer and revenue base. 

There are many telcos that have previously tested this method and found success, which will be discussed in the coming sections.

Bharti Airtel’s Cashback Offers:



Bharti Airtel, the largest network of the country, is all set to offer Rs 400 cashback on a prepaid recharge of Rs 399. 

A tweet from an operator of a micro-blogging website was found reporting this news. This cashback is applied only to those subscribers who recharge via Airtel’s exclusive app MyAirtel. 

The prepaid recharge of Rs 399 is currently offering with 1.4GB of Internet data per day. 

This plan is valid for a period of 70 days, and they offer other usual call and message benefits along this plan. 

They are offering free unlimited local, STD, and national calls without any roaming charges on them san FUP. 

Along with this, the subscribers of this plan are rewarded with a total of 100 free SMS per day, without roaming charges levied on them.

Reliance Jio’s Cashback Offer:



Recently, the Mukesh Ambani owned telecom company, Reliance Jio, was found announcing cashback offer of Rs 500 to its customers on buying the new JioFi device along with a postpaid connection.

Airtel’s new cashback offer is said to be introduced to take on Reliance Jio’s Rs 500 cashback offer. 

On purchasing both JioFi device and a postpaid connection, the cashback amount of Rs 500 will be deposited to the Jio accounts of the selected customers.

The JioFi device comes at a cost of Rs 999. After the cashback offer of Rs 500, the device is now available at a cost of just Rs 499. 

This is believed to be the most economical plan offered under Reliance Jio’s banner. Also, Jio was seen offering Rs 50 cashback on its Rs 399 plan along with a discount Rs 50. 

That offer was giving a total discount of Rs 100 on every prepaid recharge of Rs 399. This plan, after the cashback and discount, charges only Rs 299 cutting off a total of Rs 100. 

However, the customer needs to recharge through Jio’s app MyJio and make the payment through the payment website or app PhonePe in order to get hold of this offer.

Idea Cellular’s Cashback Offer:



Idea Cellular’s cashback offer was given to the customers who have subscribed for Sony LIV app as a mark of the on-going big sports event of FIFA. 

This football event has SONY LIV as its official partner; therefore, for the customers of Nirvana postpaid plan, a 100% cashback is provided upon the subscription to this TV app. 

Also, a cashback worth Rs 150 will be provided to all other plan holders as part of three cycles of bills on after subscribing to the FIFA-partner TV app Sony LIV.
