After a brief lull, the tariff war in the Indian telecom space is again raging fiercely. While most of the time it is Airtel and Jio that are trading blows, this time it is Vodafone that is upping the stakes. The company is revamping the RED plans that it offers to postpaid users and is going to give much more monthly 4G data to its users compared to what they were getting earlier. For now, Vodafone has revamped two red plans: Rs 399 plan and the Rs 499 plan.

The Rs 399 plan, which is the entry-level RED plan, will now offer Vodafone users 40GB 4G data per month instead of 20GB. It will also offer subscribers unlimited local and national calls, and no-holds-barred national roaming.

Just like other RED plans, the new one too comes with data rollover feature. This is similar to Airtel''s data rollover, which means if in a month you only use 10GB, the remaining data in your plan will be added to your available data next month. With Vodafone, you can roll over up to 200GB data. And, just like the Airtel's Infinity postpaid plans, the Vodafone RED plans will also give you a free one-year subscription to Amazon Prime.

The RED Rs 499 plan to has been revamped. This plan now gives users 75GB high-speed data per month, along with other benefits like unlimited calls that are available to all RED subscribers.

While the Vodafone plans now look very similar to Airtel's Infinity plans, Vodafone is now actually giving consumers more data as well as national roaming that is fuss-free. Airtel's Rs 399 Infinity Plan gives users 20GB data whereas the Rs 499 plan gives subscribers 40GB data. In fact, to get 75GB data or more data in a monthly plan with Airtel, you will have to spend money on Rs 1199 plan.
