Sanju SHATTERS Race 3 and Avengers: Infinity War to become the biggest opener of 2018.

Sanju is produced under the banners of Fox Star Studios, Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films.

Director Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju is definitely turning out to be a gamechanger for its lead actor Ranbir Kapoor.

The biographical drama surpassed all the expectations and earned Rs 34.75 crore on its first day at the ticket windows. 

With this staggering collection, Sanju turned out to be the biggest opener of the year surpassing Salman Khan’s Race 3 (Rs 29.17 crore) and Hollywood release Avengers: Infinity War which had collected Rs 31.30 crore on its first day in India.

Sanju has also turned out to be Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest opener till date beating Besharam (Rs 21.56 crore). 

By looking at the current response from the audience, we are hoping the film to enter the Rs 100 crore club in its first three days. 

Interestingly, Sanju has also turned out to be the highest opener of director Rajkumar Hirani surpassing Aamir Khan’s PK. Since there is no big release on the coming Friday, Sanju will enjoy a two-week clear run at the box office.

Apart from Ranbir, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Manisha Koirala and Anushka Sharma Kohli.
