Ranbir Kapoor stepped into the shoes of Bollywood's wild child Sanjay Dutt for Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, and the results have been overwhelming.
If the film has received the love of fans, the biopic has become the biggest grosser of 2018 so far.
And now the fans can't wait to see real-life Sanju and reel-life Sanju share screen space.
It is no secret that the two actors will come together for YRF's Shamshera, but latest buzz suggests that he can be seen together in another popular franchise.
Speculation is rife that Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt might work together in Munna Bhai sequel. After the super success of Sanju, Hirani is returning to Munna Bhai franchise, and the buzz has it that Ranbir might replace Arshad Warsi as Circuit in the sequel.
A source close to the makers revealed to a leading magazine that Hirani might cast Ranbir as Circuit in Munna Bhai sequel.
"Seeing Ranbir's performance in Sanju everyone is impressed. The makers believe Ranbir and Sanjay will share great on-screen chemistry considering their rapport with each other," the source said.
Hirani is yet to begin scripting for the film, and the official announcement will be made in some time.
