While Oppo is gearing to launch its Find X smartphone in India within next few days, it has launched an Apple AirPodscompetitor on its home turf China. Called O-Free, the wireless earbuds are priced at CNY 699 and will be going on sale in China later next month. The accessory will come bundled with those who are buying the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition.
The earbuds make use of Qualcomm’s QCC3026 chipset that was unveiled recently alongside Qualcomm’s TrueWireless Stereo technology that lets the earbuds manage power and connectivity easily.
Don’t expect a massive battery life from the Oppo O-Free wireless earbuds. The Chinese smartphone maker claims that the accessory can deliver up to four hours of music. But one can carry the earbuds case around, which also charges the device. It is said to deliver up to additional 12 hours of battery life.
One of the interesting features of the accessory is that the O-Free supports voice translation, something we have seen with the Google Pixel buds. It also supports voice assistant and music controls. One can get it in two colour variants – Red and Blue.
Oppo just recently launched its Oppo Find X smartphone that has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%. The bezel-less display has compelled the company to opt for a slider mechanism for its camera. This means that Oppo Find X comes with a pop-up module for both the front and the rear camera. The company claims that this motorized apparatus open and close within half a second.
The smartphone features a 6.4-inch OLED HD+, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB and 512GB and 3730mAh battery. The company claims that after five minutes of charging the smartphone can deliver up to two hours of talk time. It has a 16MP+20MP rear camera setup and a 25MP front-facing camera.
