The behemoth won his Universal Championship against Goldberg at Wrestlemania 33 in April 2017, but has failed to appear regularly on WWE’s flagship show Raw since then.
While Lesnar’s WWE contract allows him a very relaxed schedule, the lack of screen time for the Universal Champion is still a startling one. Reddit user Neilson241 has crunched the maths and noted every single Brock Lesnar appearance on Raw since April 2017.
Given that Lesnar is alleged to have the highest paid contract in WWE, it’s easy to understand how many frustrations there must be regarding his stature with the company, especially considering that he has consistently failed to be a significant box-office draw.
They are numbers which do not make pretty reading for Lesnar fans. The former UFC Champion has appeared on Raw for just 196 minutes over the past 15 months, a shade over three hours – the typical length of one episode of Raw.
Lesnar has only appeared on 2.2% of Raw’s screen time since his title victory, with much of those minutes taken up with him standing menacingly, and occasionally shuffling.
Indeed, Lesnar has suffered criticism from many fans in recent years for the formulaic nature of his matches, plus his constant flirtation with former employers UFC. The 41-year-old has been linked with a return to the Octagon this year, and appears to be on the way out from WWE.
