The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor as the protagonist, has huge buzz surrounding it with movie maniacs eagerly awaiting its release.
Right from its trailer to its songs, everything from the world of Sanju has piqued the interest of viewers. In a scenario like this, expectations from the film are sky-high vis-Ã -vis its performance at the box-office. But will it live up to those expectations?
“Sanju will either make or break Ranbir Kapoor’s career in Bollywood and will decide whether he is here to stay,” film trade analyst Atul Mohan told Money Control.
Mohan believes that Sanju should earn anything between Rs 225 crore and Rs 230 crore to be called a hit and to put Ranbir’s career back on track.
“The trailers have created the much-needed hype and curiosity for the audience and we are not expecting an opening Friday with the business of any less than Rs 25 crore-Rs 30 crores but the trend has to continue through the week.
The word of mouth has to spread and Sanju has to be at its top game till it crosses the Rs 200 crore mark,” Mohan has been quoted in the report as saying
