Royal Enfield Scrambler with 650-cc twin cylinder engine.
Royal Enfield is months away from launching its brand new motorcycles, with twin-cylinder engines, in the Indian market -the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The engine that powers the twin-cylinder Royal Enfield could be used on a range of new motorcycles. One such motorcycle is expected to be a Scrambler, built around the 650-cc, twin-cylinder engine. Here are a couple of speculative renders of the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650.
The Scrambler 650 from Royal Enfield could be an all-metal motorcycle, making it quite sturdy for off-road use. Fans of the brand will only be hoping that Royal Enfield manages to keep weight low, making the Scrambler quite usable even on the roughest of roads. The extensive use of metal on the concept means that the Scrambler could be as porky as Royal Enfield’s other motorcycles – with a kerb weight of at least about 180 kilograms.
