Rajinikanth film Kaala gets a record opening in Malaysia.

Despite low-key promotions, Superstar Rajinikanth's recently-released flick Kaala is setting the cash registers ringing across the world. The film, directed by Pa Ranjith, recently marched past the Rs 100-crore mark.

According to trade reports, Kaala is doing extremely well in the international market. As we know, Rajinikanth commands a loyal fan base in Malaysia and Singapore.

According to latest reports, Kaala has bagged the second position in terms of opening weekend collections in Malaysia.

The film has collected Rs 7.61 crore so far in Malaysia. However, Kaala couldn't beat the box office collections of Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom in Malaysia.

In addition to that, Kaala is minting profits in the US as well. Recently, the film registered a record USD 1 million (Rs 6.7 crore approx) and is expected to gross USD 2 million(Rs 13.5 crore approx) in the coming days.
