KURT ANGLE challenged Daniel Bryan to a one-on-one match through Instagram.
Angle and Bryan had a brief interaction in the ring last April during the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match in Saudi Arabia and the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist wants more.
That would make for a great dream match that would get millions of fans invested but the WWE superstars perform in different brands - The Olympic Hero is the RAW General Manager and The Beard belongs to Smackdown.
Therefore, a possible match between the two sounds quite unlikely at the moment.
Angle posted a pic which showed him applying the Ankle Lock on Bryan and captioned it with “#AnglevsBryan at the Greatest Royal Rumble. How about a 1 on 1 matchup? #itstrue.”
The six-time world champion has issued challenges to various other WWE superstars like Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.
The ex-WWE Champion seems determined to return to the ring and finally have his first one-on-one bout since his return to Vince McMahon’s promotion in 2017.
The Hall of Famer’s first match since his comeback saw him replacing Roman Reigns and teaming up with his Shield brothers Rollins and Dean Ambrose at TLC 2017 where they beat The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane in a 5-on-3 handicap Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match. He then captained Team RAW to victory over Team Smackdown at Survivor Series as he teamed up with Triple H, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Finn Balor and beat Shane McMahon, John Cena, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura.
The Wrestling Machine got a lot of attraction at WrestleMania 34 where he teamed up with Ronda Rousey on her debut match and defeated Triple H as well as Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
Bryan is set to compete at Money in the Bank where he will take on Smackdown rival Big Cass following his victory over the big guy at Backlash.
