WWE news: HUGE Brock Lesnar update - When will he lose the Universal Championship?

BROCK LESNAR may lose the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

According to Ringside News, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer anticipates Lesnar to be dethroned in August.

Alvarez claims The Beast’s new WWE contract is a short-term deal and, because of his huge salary, it would only make sense to have him drop the belt at SummerSlam.

He said: “He is not on Money In The Bank so my guess is when they first announced that he had re-signed a deal I did have someone tell me they believed he was going to be there through SummerSlam. So all we know is that it is a short-term deal.

“I presume he is going to drop the title at SummerSlam I don’t know what. It could happen I guess in July.

“But he is not at Money In The Bank so it will either be the July Pay-Per-View or SummerSlam and if you got Brock Lesnar and you’re paying him big money it will probably end up being SummerSlam.”

Lesnar won the Universal Championship last year at WrestleMania 33 from Goldberg and has retained it against the likes of Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Kane.

The Conqueror was expected to lose the title at WrestleMania 34 and then rejoin UFC.

However, the UFC legend beat Reigns and repeated his triumph at the Greatest Royal Rumble in controversial fashion.

Lesnar beat The Big Dog again in a Steel Cage Match after getting speared through the cell.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion retained the belt even though Reigns’ feet touched the floor first.
